About the event

Qigong is an ancient eastern practice that combines slow, fluid movements with mindful breathing, visualization and meditation to clear away stress and bring fresh life force energy into the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Regular practice leads to greater vitality and flexibility, better balance and mobility, and a pervasive sense of wellbeing. Students often leave class with a clearer, calmer state of mind and profound sense of relaxation.

This introductory QiGong session includes gentle stretching, joint mobility exercises, and flowing movement connected to the breath, meditation and visualisation. The majority of this practice is done standing with some sitting on the floor. 

This class is perfect for beginners, however all levels of students are welcome!

Please note this studio is located on the second floor of the Bauman Chiropractic building in downtown Vancouver. You must be able to climb a short staircase to enter the yoga studio. ​


Tammy Bux is a certified yoga instructor, a qigong, breathwork & meditation guide, TEDx speaker, poet and storyteller. Guided by her voice, energy & teachings, she takes her students on a healing journey, empowering them to discover their own radiance and wellbeing within.

Tammy provides a thoughtful and caring environment to learn a new skill and her calming voice is the perfect medium to guide you to a deeper sense of serenity and stability.

Tammy’s mission is to encourage people to connect with their intuition, cultivate resilience, and practice compassion for themselves and others through movement, meditation, breathwork, and self-reflection.

Her twenty-year experience of studying and teaching wellness practices includes Transcendental Meditation, Compassion Cultivation Training at Stanford University, Consciousness and Healing studies at the Institute for Noetic Sciences and the Joy of Yoga teacher certification and Intro to Medical Qigong training at Silicon Valley’s number 1 rated studio Breathe Wellness Yoga.
